The Winegrowers

Domaine de Villeneuve

Villeneuve Estate

The estate, taken over in 1993 by the Wallut family in the northern part of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, is distinguished by its plots of very old vines (primarily Grenache and Mourvèdre) and, across its 12 hectares, by the diversity of its terroirs, all characteristic of the appellation: rolled pebbles, clay soils, and sandy soils. With the transition to organic/biodynamic farming in 1998, the estate, managed by Stanislas Wallut, is committed to the ever-more demanding quest for natural wines made without chemicals or oenological additives and without oak aging. These are reds that are at once refined, complex, and elegant, expressing both fruit and terroir, with a very distinctive style within the Châteauneuf-du-Pape production.
