The Winegrowers

Hervé Souhaut

Hervé Souhaut

Hervé Souhaut and his wife Béatrice, heir to a few vineyards in the Saint-Joseph appellation, established their estate in 1993 and have gradually expanded it through the acquisition of plots, often old or even very old vines, and new plantings, bringing it to 7 hectares, supplemented by grape purchases. Driven by strong convictions about environmentally friendly viticulture, the estate has evolved towards more demanding practices, leading to natural winemaking, without chemicals or oenological additives, following in the footsteps of producers like Marcel Lapierre (Morgon) or, locally, Dard and Ribo. Their reds, made from Syrah or Gamay, and their whites, made from Viognier and/or Roussanne, offer some of the most authentic expressions of the Northern Rhône's granitic terroir.
