The Winegrowers

Fabrice Domercq

Begun in 2007 with a few rows of vines in the north of the Entre-deux-Mers region of Bordeaux, the adventure of Fabrice Domercq – now an artist AND winemaker –, with the help of his designer friend Jasper Morrison, gradually developed by acquiring in 2015 leases in the Libournais region, 2 ha (Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon, Petit Verdot) in Côtes-de-Castillon and Côtes-de-Francs. And gradually the work also evolved towards an increasingly natural conception of cultivation, vinification and aging which is expressed from their first vintage, named Ormiale , far from the conventional style which dominates in Bordeaux. 2021 marks a new stage with the arrival of a third partner, Mauro Catarinella, and with the acquisition in Saint-Émilion of a winery and a cellar dug into the limestone, in perfect harmony with the estate's quest for quality.
