Fabrice Domercq
Beginning in 2007 with a few rows of vines in the northern Entre-deux-Mers region of Bordeaux, the adventure of Fabrice Domercq – now both artist and winemaker – in collaboration with his friend, designer Jasper Morrison, has gradually expanded. In 2015, he acquired two hectares (Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot) in the Libournais region, planted with the grape varieties Côtes-de-Castillon and Côtes-de-Francs. Their work has also gradually evolved towards an increasingly natural approach to cultivation, winemaking, and aging, evident from their very first vintage, named Ormiale, a far cry from the conventional style that dominates Bordeaux. 2021 marks a new stage with the arrival of a third partner, Mauro Catarinella, and with the acquisition in Saint-Émilion of a winery and a cellar dug into the limestone, in perfect harmony with the quest for quality of the estate.
