Sylvestre, Joseph, Agnès & René Mosse
Before establishing their estate in 1999 in Saint-Lambert-du-Lattay, Anjou, René and Agnès Mosse honed their skills working alongside inspiring winemakers such as Thierry Puzelat and Christian Chaussard in the Loire Valley, and Dominique Derain and Frédéric Cossard in Burgundy. With organic farming practices and winemaking methods that avoid additives, the estate, which has gradually expanded to 15 hectares on the banks of the Layon River and in Savennières, primarily planted with Chenin Blanc but also Chardonnay and red grape varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Grolleau, Gamay), was definitively passed on in 2018 to the two sons, Joseph and Sylvestre, following their diverse experiences, particularly with natural winemakers. The estate's pioneering philosophy remains unchanged, perhaps with an added touch of innovative flair. Since 2006, a trading activity has made it possible to diversify the grape varieties and style of new vintages.
