A passion for wine led him to become a winemaker! Drawn to the approach of the young generation in the Auvergne region (Patrick Bouju, Pierre Beauger), Vincent Marie made this decisive choice in 2015 by taking over an estate – renamed No Control in a rock and punk spirit – in the Volvic area, in the heart of the Auvergne, where he adopted the organic/biodynamic practices he learned from Patrick Meyer in Alsace. On plots with granitic and volcanic soils, his 5 hectares of vines include Gamay d'Auvergne and Pinot Noir, as well as Syrah (“Damas Noir”) and various other unusual grape varieties, including whites. The result of an uncompromising “natural” philosophy, the wines reveal a strong and forthright personality.
