A true “farmer-winemaker” – in his own words – Claude Courtois is a living legend in the world of natural wine. Located in the Loir-et-Cher region, in the heart of the Sologne wine country, his estate, Les Cailloux du Paradis, now run by his son Étienne, is a farm with 6 hectares of vineyards, as well as fruit trees, woods, fields, and meadows. Absolute preservation of biodiversity, traditional methods without chemicals, but also bold choices (many grape varieties that don't qualify for any appellation) and experimentation in winemaking and aging: this is the philosophy of Claude and Étienne Courtois, a philosophy built on strong convictions. The result is white and red wines of great singularity and expressive power, where the winemaker's strong personality and the character of the terroir intertwine in a rare and complete way.
