The Winegrowers

Bruno Duchêne

Bruno Duchêne

Bruno Duchêne established himself in 2002 on the Côte Vermeille in the Banyuls/Collioure appellation with several plots, including old vines of Grenache (noir, gris, and blanc) and Carignan, totaling 4 hectares. From the start, following the philosophy of committed winemakers like Alain Castex (Le Casot des Mailloles), all vineyard work has been conducted organically, without compromise, with the clear goal of producing natural wines. On this rugged yet sun-drenched schist terroir, the wines possess strong expressive potential, but the winemaker's style preserves a freshness of fruit and finesse of texture rarely found in Roussillon. He also expands his range through various partnerships with fellow winemakers (Ardèche, Catalonia, Aveyron, Burgundy...) without betraying the marriage of character, indulgence, and drinkability that defines his wines.
