The Winegrowers

Christophe Lindenlaub

Christophe Lindenlaub

An old winegrowing family from Bas-Rhin, the Lindenlaubs are established in Dorlisheim and Mutzig, and today it is Christophe Lindenlaub who holds the reins of the 10 ha estate spread over various well-known localities, such as Stierkopf. In 2009, the choice was made to switch to organic farming, aiming for balance between the soil and the plant, with greater acceptance of natural data. No chemical treatments, plant cover (cereals, legumes, etc.), biodynamic preparation “500”, to obtain a quality of grapes that makes it possible, from 2012, to produce natural cuvées and allows for various experiments (maceration whites). The wines thus produced are characterized by a form of fullness, with freshness and mineral liveliness, and they are intended to translate both the identity of the terroir and the identity of the winemaker. The wide range of vintages is distinguished by labels marked with the Ensō circle, from Japanese calligraphy, a sign of harmony that is both spontaneous and controlled.
