Christophe Lindenlaub
The Lindenlaub family, an old winemaking family from the Bas-Rhin region, are based in Dorlisheim and Mutzig. Today, Christophe Lindenlaub manages the 10-hectare estate, spread across several well-regarded vineyard sites, such as Stierkopf. In 2009, the decision was made to convert to organic farming, aiming for a balance between soil and vine, with a greater acceptance of natural processes. No chemical treatments are used, cover crops (cereals, legumes, etc.), and the biodynamic "500" preparation is employed to obtain grapes of such quality that, starting in 2012, the estate has been able to produce natural wines and allows for various experiments (macerated white wines). The resulting wines are characterized by a sense of fullness, with freshness and mineral vibrancy, and are intended to express both the identity of the terroir and the identity of the winemaker. The wide range of vintages is distinguished by labels marked with the Ensō circle, derived from Japanese calligraphy, a sign of harmony that is both spontaneous and controlled.
