The Winegrowers

Petouin and Enraged

Driven by a passion for wine, and even more so by the promotion of natural wine, and inspired and stimulated by the work of Marc Pesnot (La Sénéchalière), three friends – Pierre Le Nen, Xavier Billet, and Romain Arnoult – joined forces in 2021 to create Domaine Pétouin et Enragé. This 3-hectare estate of old vines is located in the heart of the beautiful Muscadet-Sèvre-et-Maine terroir and planted with Melon de Bourgogne (“Pétouin”) and Folle Blanche (“Enragé”) grapes, as well as a small amount of Gamay. The project is based on healthy viticulture without chemicals and fermentations free of any additives, resulting in smooth and fresh wines that combine the crispness of the fruit with the mineral salinity of the terroir.
