Premières Tries

With the creation of his estate, named La Grapperie, in 2004, Renaud Guettier acquired a collection of parcels in the southern part of the Coteaux du Loir appellation, forming a 6-hectare vineyard, including some very old vines. The grape varieties—Chenin Blanc for the whites and Pineau d'Aunis (along with a few other, very small proportions) for the reds—are the traditional varieties of this remote terroir on the right bank of the Loire Valley. They are cultivated organically and vinified without any oenological additives, in the most natural way possible. Gentle extraction and extended aging combine to highlight the character of the terroir, developing a style defined by authenticity and excellent aging potential.
