Damien Bureau
It was in Anjou, in the heart of the Layon hillsides, that Damien Bureau developed and strengthened his taste and passion for wine and, through contact with winemakers like Sébastien Dervieux (Babass), for natural wine. His activity began part-time in 2008, shared between his vineyards and his work with other winemakers, and expanded to full-time in 2013. His 3.5 ha vineyard is composed mainly of Chenin – available in different forms – as well as Grolleau, Gamay, Cabernet Franc and Pineau d'Aunis. His pesticide-free cultivation method (organic certification) and his natural vinifications without any inputs ensure an uncompromising style of wines that combines integrity, drinkability and indulgence with a lovely "touch".
