The Winegrowers

Jérome Lambert

Jerome Lambert

From his first experiences in the work of the vineyard and wine, Jérôme Lambert will especially retain the advice of Richard Leroy. Pure Angevin, farmer and apprentice winemaker in the heart of the Coteaux du Layon, he gradually built up a small estate from the early 2000s and opted for viticulture without chemicals, natural vinifications free of sulfur and aging without wood. The 4 hectares of vines patiently gathered mainly contain Chenin, in perfect harmony with the schist terroir specific to Anjou Noir, as well as red grape varieties (Cabernet Franc, Gamay, Grolleau), and produce wines devoid of any demonstrative will but on the contrary marked by their frankness, their sincerity and their nature.
