Returning to the family estate in Faye-d'Anjou in Anjou after various experiences around the world, Pierre Ménard forged a demanding project from 2013: selecting from his parents' vast vineyard the most remarkable plots for their terroir (schist, clay-limestone) and the age of the vines, today 4 ha (chenin and sauvignon, but also cabernet franc) which he works without chemicals, according to the principles of biodynamics. His ambition is the most authentic expression of the terroir, which translates in particular into rich, powerful dry or sweet whites, with a brilliant balance - in a spirit inspired by Burgundy -, with both great energy and great precision.
