The Winegrowers

Sylvestre, Joseph, Agnès & René Mosse

Before creating their estate in 1999 in Anjou at Saint-Lambert-du-Lattay, René and Agnès Mosse had a formative career working with inspiring winemakers such as Thierry Puzelat and Christian Chaussard in the Loire Valley and Dominique Derain and Frédéric Cossard in Burgundy. Organic farming and vinification without additives, a vineyard gradually increased to 15 hectares on the banks of the Layon as well as in Savennières, mainly Chenin but also Chardonnay and red grape varieties (Cabernet, Côt, Grolleau, Gamay), this is the estate definitively passed on in 2018 to the two sons of the house, Joseph and Sylvestre, at the end of their various experiences, notably with “natural” winemakers. The pioneering philosophy of the estate remains the same, with perhaps a surplus of innovative fantasy. Since 2006, a trading activity has enabled the diversification of grape varieties and the style of new vintages.
