Coming from a long line of Saumur winegrowers, Antoine Sanzay took over the family estate in 1999 and withdrew it from the local cooperative winery to produce his first vintage as an independent winemaker in 2002. Located in the heart of the Saumur-Champigny appellation, the vineyard comprises 12 hectares dedicated to Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc (1.3 hectares) in the villages of Varrains and Chacé, home to the renowned Poyeux terroir. Cultivated organically and biodynamically, the estate demonstrates a rigor and exacting standards that reveal the nuances of the terroir with remarkable precision in its various single-vineyard wines.
