With the creation in 2004 of his estate, named La Grapperie, Renaud Guettier acquired in the southern part of the Coteaux du Loir territory a group of plots that form a vineyard of 6 ha, with a part of very old vines. The grape varieties, Chenin for the whites and Pineau d'Aunis (with a few others very much in the minority) for the reds, are the traditional grape varieties of this remote terroir on the right bank of the Loire Valley. They are worked organically and vinified without oenological inputs, in the most natural way possible. Gentle extraction and prolonged aging contribute to highlighting the character of the terroir, to developing a style made of authenticity and a good capacity for aging.
