The Winegrowers

Camille Jauras & Pierre Saakovidi

Between viticulture and work as a mechanic, Alain Allier eventually made his choice by dedicating himself to his vineyard plots in the Vaunage, a unique terroir between Sommières and Nîmes. After a decisive encounter in 2004 with Éric Pfifferling (L'Anglore), he gradually left the cooperative cellar to vinify his own cuvées from organically grown grapes. On the hillsides bordering the garrigue, the clay-limestone soils are well suited to southern grape varieties, and the estate's very natural practices, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, produce frank and sincere wines with a strong sense of terroir. In 2024, after several years of collaboration with Alain Allier, Pierre Saakovidi and Camille Jauras took over the estate, which now comprises 11 hectares of vines, and maintain the same working philosophy.
